Bio

Greetings! I'm Linda Fielding, a British Abstract Artist now based in New Jersey, where I specialize in acrylic paint on canvas and alcohol ink on synthetic paper.

My artistic journey began in 2018, while living in Spain, where painting became both a hobby and a therapeutic outlet. As someone accustomed to a structured lifestyle, I found solace in the freedom of expression that art provided, allowing my emotions to manifest on canvas. During the challenging times of lockdown and the pandemic, my passion for painting blossomed. I dedicated myself to honing my skills, exploring diverse techniques, and expanding my artistic repertoire through online learning platforms.

Beyond the canvas, I cherish moments spent with my daughter and son-in-law, indulging in interests such as interior design, fashion, and yoga.

Now, as a newcomer to the area, I eagerly seek opportunities to integrate into the local art community. I am excited to announce that in April 2025, I will be showcasing my artwork at the Cherry Hill Public Library for a month-long exhibition.

I'm thrilled to embark on this journey of artistic discovery and community engagement, and I look forward to connecting with fellow artists and art enthusiasts alike.

Artist Statement

"As an emerging self-taught abstract artist, I break free from the constraints of everyday life by embracing experimentation with diverse techniques and media. While I often impose restrictions on myself in reality, painting becomes my sanctuary where I sever those chains and allow energy to flow freely. My artwork spans from vibrant and intense to anatomical, monochrome, and extraterrestrial-inspired pieces, drawing inspiration from nature and human design. Each brushstroke is a therapeutic conversion of emotions into art.

While I may eventually refine my style, for now, I find joy and satisfaction in the diversity of each creation. My art is a reflection of my journey and an invitation for viewers to explore the beauty of the unexpected."
